"In his position as head of mosaic department at a Munich glass and mosaic studio, Franco oversaw the fabrication and quality control for my NYC MTA Art & Design Commission in 2012. He translated eleven works on paper into large, beautiful mosaics. The moment of truth for me was opening the crates of the finished mosaics upon their arrival to NYC.

  • REFLECTIONS - Heidi Lippman

    Dieses Wandmosaik ( ca. 7,55m x 1,55m) befindet sich in einer Synagoge in Washington D.C.


    Franco Notonica has just completed a mosaic for my synagogue in Washington D.C. that is beautiful beyond compare.


    Our design was abstract, the colors muted and it was completed to perfection.

    What I anticipated, that the installation, would take at least two weeks, instead took two days plus a little clean up time.

    Did I mention that the piece is 25 feet long and 5 ft wide.

    Totally focused and efficient; the installation was flaw less.

    The staff at the Temple were truly thrilled with the outcome.

  • ANGUS DEI - Priestergrab

    Vor geraumer Zeit durfte ich dieses Lamm Gottes in Gold für ein Priestergrab in Landsberg am Lech in negativer Setztechnik ausführen. Das Mosaik ist in einen circa 35 cm Durchmesser großen Stein Azul de Macaubas eingelassen. Die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Steinmetz und dem Künstler Egon Stöckle war sehr angenehm.

  • KONFETTI MOSAIK

    Für einen Privatkunden in München habe ich diese Wand-und Bodengestaltung in Naturstein, Glassmalten und Gold in negativer Setztechnik ausgeführt. Nun erfreut sich die ganze Familie an den einzigartigen Mosaiken.

  • THEKE - Ristorante "Fratelli"

    Für das Ristorante "Fratelli" in der Baierbrunnerstr. 1 in München, durfte ich dies großartige Projekt ausführen. Das Mosaik mit der zentralen Figur "Trinacria" , fügt sich grandios in das Gesamtambiente ein.

  • MOSAIKTISCH

    Ein Schmuckstück kann zugleich praktisch sein. Dieser Mosaiktisch ist in Abstimmung mit dem Auftraggeber entstanden. Individuell und einzigartig. Abmessungen 0,90m x 0,60m x 0,55m. Handgeschlagenes Material aus verschieden Marmoren, Smalten, Gold.

  • BOTANISCHER GARTEN

    Die Stiftung Elfriede und Franz Jakob ermöglichte es, im Botanischen Garten (München) im dortigen Hortus conclusus eine Auftragsarbeit durchzuführen. Nach meinen Entwürfen entstand  "PRIMAVERA", eine Mosaikarbeit, die vor einer wasserüberfluteten Wand installiert ist. 


    Wichtig für mich war es, die Farben und Bewegung des Wassers mit der Farbenpracht der Gartenanlage zu verbinden. Diese Anlage wurde im Jahre 2004 unter dem Namen Hortus conclusus in London auf der Chelsea Flower Show gezeigt, wo sie mit dem 1. Preis bedacht wurde. Im Jahre 2005 wurde sie nach München transferiert zum Gedenken an Scheich Zayid bin Sultan Al Nahan. Heute ist sie fester Bestandteil des Botanischen Gartens.

  • PIZZAOFEN

    Für die KoRi Schneckenstein in der Riemerschmidstrasse (München) sollte der Spielplatz um einen Pizzaofen erweitert und harmonisch in die Gartenanlage eingefügt werden. Nach meinen Entwürfen wurde das Projekt mit unterschiedlichem Glas-und Keramik Material umgesetzt. 


    Die Gemeinschaftsarbeit mit Eltern, Kindern und Erziehern fand unter meiner Regie statt und wurde unter großem Beifall vollendet.
