Franco Notonica

I started my career as a mosaicist in 1985 when I was trained to become a professional tile setter. From 1988 to 1991, I attended the internationally renownScuolaMusaicistidef Friuli in Spilimbergo, Italy. Consequently I worked for Mayer'scheHofkunstanstalt in Munich (Mayer of Munich) For 23 years becoming head of the mosaic department in 1999.

 

Since the founding of FN-Mosaik in 2016, I have pursued new source materials to enhance the traditional stone and glass. Maintaining a wide stock of these exciting new colors and textures with other mixed media allows me to realize highly unique artistic interpretations for each new work.

 

Thirty three years of experience and hundreds of mosaic projects has provided great insight into my craft. With an ability to conceive of and produce, from start to finish, while guiding artists through the complex process. From small private works to massive international installations, this flexibility is necessary in this wonderful, challenging and always exciting business. Therefore, I am devoted to every project with great skills, passion, discipline, and high reliability.
